WHY PERFORM

LIVE?

Showcase Your Music:

Performing live offers you the opportunity to showcase your creative output by presenting a set centred exclusively on your original music. In contrast to a DJ set, where the norm is to mix tracks from various artists.

Offer a Unique Experience:

Captivate your audience with unique versions of your well known tracks, hear brand new material and see a stage show that could incorporate costumes, visuals or other performance elements to leave a lasting impression.

Be inspired by your audience:

Seeing the appreciation of your audience first hand can give you real time inspiration to take fresh ideas and new material and develop them on the fly. Providing useful  insight to fuel your creativity when you get back into the studio.

Greater Visibility:

Live performances can significantly enhance a producer's visibility and profile, attracting attention from promoters, booking agents, artist management and labels.

Networking Opportunities:

Live shows provide valuable networking opportunities for producers to connect with other artists, industry professionals, and fans, potentially leading to collaborations, partnerships, and future opportunities

Revenue Stream:

Live performances can be a lucrative revenue stream for producers, as promoters are often willing to pay a higher fee due to the audience a live set can attract.

Sell Merchandise:

Attendees are more inclined to purchase merchandise, such as t-shirts, art prints, and records, when they've come to the venue specifically to see a live act. Merchandise sales can serve as a significant source of revenue, and thanks to the proliferation of online suppliers, sourcing custom merchandise is easier than ever.

Beyond the Dance Floor:

If your preferred genre isn't quite suitable for the club or dance floor, then performing live can offer a way to present your tracks to potential fans in venues oriented more towards concerts and gigs.

Tactile Skills, Useful in the Studio:

Regularly honing your live performance skills will fine-tune your muscle memory and sense of timing, offering substantial benefits when you're in the studio, such as achieving more fluid, on-the-fly arrangement of new ideas and faster implementation of dynamic and expressive automation.
